Services for Male Relatives

White Buffalo Calf Women's Society services teen relatives ages 11-21 and their families who are impacted by dating violence, stalking and sexual assault. Our service areas include Todd County, parts of Tripp County, Gregory, Mellette, and Oglala counties. This includes 22 tribal communities on the Rosebud reservations. We respond to crisis calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We respond, support and follow up with our young relatives. We respond to crisis calls from the hospital emergency room, local schools and the police department.
Sexual Assault as a Minor:
-If you were sexually assaulted and are under the age of 13 years old, you will be asked to do a forensic interview with the Child Advocacy Center in Pierre, SD.
-If you are 13 years of age and older, you may decide to submit to a rape kit, which is done at IHS in Rosebud, and we will be there to offer support for you.
We provide shelter, transportation, cultural healing, crisis counseling, support groups, court accompaniment, protection and restraining orders and personal advocacy.
We will provide information and referrals for services, providing child advocacy both personal and group settings. We also provide outreach education in our local schools and we also facilitate group projects with the youth where they have opportunities to learn about traditional practices and healing retreats to increase self- esteem.
Building trust with our relatives is very important to us.
